I'M SHERRI

There is a parallelism between mother nature and the spirit. Just as she transforms landscapes with her ever-changing seasons, the human spirit has the power to evolve, heal, and grow through life's challenges. I have learned that the sunshine that pours through the leaves and illuminates the shade is the same light that shines in our dark places.

My first camera, a gift from my love, was a curiously and purposefully designed tool the Universe used to teach me the very distinct and common denominator between healing and photography - light. My degrees couldn't change the world, nor could my wanting, but with pen & paper (my first love), a unique novel of experiences, and a new way to transform light into love, I stood a chance. That feeling and my willingness to be carried aloft led me here.

Today I spend my days chasing babies, my evenings chasing light, and my Sundays chasing God. My hope for the future is to continue to write in black and white, photograph in color, and blur the lines between them along the way.
